I'm trying my hand at architectural style photography. I've been trying a couple different things recently. Mainly a bit more close-up shots and achitectural style to expand my range a bit.

I went to Waterloo this afternoon to see if I could get any shots but the tide was too high for any birds and the sky was overcast. I did see five Magnificent Frigatebirds as I was driving in. Unfortunaltely by the time I was ready to shoot - they were gone. I guess they did not see anything of interest either. I've never seen these bird in the area before but hopefully I will see them again.

This puppy and its sibling were lying in a corner near a garbage area. I suspect someone dropped them off recently because I've never seen them before. It's pretty sad to see these beautiful puppies knowing that they'll end up being strays. The other strays don't look malnourished but it's still sad that people do this.

Longing

Not a typically interesting subject but I think the environment makes for an interesting image. The bamboo plants, the dirt and the sky adds a certain natural element to an otherwise boring activity. Also I like the repetition of colours in the environment and the equipment - the yellow in the excavator and the green in the truck.

I'm not sure about this one. I checked it on a couple monitors and it looks fine but on one monitor I'm seing some artifacts. Could be a calibration issue. I hope this looks fine on other monitors.
