I first thought this was going to be a wasted shot when I saw the how harsh the lighting was and with the shadows. I really took the picture to document the flower incase I came across it later on. That's the reason for the petal being cut off at the base. I did not really focus too much on composition. I've learned from this that I should do that at all times. The more I looked at it though I liked the repeating circular patterns in the flower and the background. These are not blatantly obvious repeating patterns but I tend to prefer subtle repeating patterns.
